I saw this sever...Walter, what an eloquent review. I saw this several weeks ago, and it still haunts me. Your review is beautifully written.<br /><br />I had read the book about 4 years ago, and I had a vague recollection of the tragic nature of the story. Still, the film version was surprising. Seeing the intensity of the characterizations onscreen in front of me was powerful.<br /><br />I also share your love of Rachel Portman.
